Mycenae Gardens, including the Woodland Dell. These two plots of land form a pair of adjoining public open spaces in Westcombe Park, Blackheath, London SE3.
The combination of grass, woodland, bushes and shrubs attracts people as well as wildlife that contributes to the natural history of the area. The grounds are public and a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC), and provide a strong influence on the character of the Conservation Area.
The Friends of Mycenae Gardens aim to cherish, preserve and enhance this much-loved space at the heart of Westcombe Park, in partnership with the Royal Borough of Greenwich. A Management Plan has been negotiated in partnership with them.
